Pre-Game Practices and Warm-Up

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

1. All players to be at the dugout for home and away games at least 1 hour before game time.

2. All players MUST be in full Club uniform (including cap, undershirt and belt), for pre- game warm up in club T-Shirts.

3. There will be no smoking or eating allowed between pre-start and the completion of the game.

4. All players, whether in the initial line up or not, MUST remain at all times in the dugout area.

5. Only under special circumstances will players be allowed to leave the dugout. The coach will be the sole judge on what constitutes a "special circumstance".

6. AT each game day a position/function will be assigned to each player, these must be carried out until or unless told otherwise by the Coach.

PRE-GAME WARM PROGRAM

The following are the drills to be carried out (apply other times per grade):

10 minutes run and sprint.

5 minutes stretch exercises.

REVIEW TEAM LINE UP AND ASSIGNED POSITIONS

20 minutes glove work and arm warm up

20 minutes batting practice

Starting pitcher & catcher should always be first.

PITCHER AND CATCHER DRILL

Loosen up initially, and then pitch consistently and solidly for a time determined by pitcher or coach.

TEAM PRACTICE (INVOLVES EVERY PLAYER)

5 minute field drill (review assigned positions)
